Water for 74

Overview

Jean Posada’s students at Middle School 74Q observed how many people at their school used their new water bottle refill stations. They found that many students bring and throw away plastic water bottles and some students don’t have a water bottle to use the refill station at all! They were awarded a $1,913 Eco-Audit Grant to provide reusable water bottles for all students and staff at their school. Now, everyone is able to take advantage of the new water fountains and they are diverting 60 pounds of plastic waste from the landfill.
