Overview
Ashley Garcia’s Green Team students conducted an EcoRise Public Spaces Eco-Audit and discovered a green space on their campus that was not being used to its full potential. They then applied for two Eco-Audit Grants to purchase the materials and supplies needed to build a school garden. With the funds, students will convert 154 square feet of outdoor space into a public garden with native pollinator-friendly plants; this garden will also serve as a welcoming and relaxing space where students can learn life skills.
