Overview
After conducting a waste audit at their school, the Green Team students at I.S.109 realized they had a trash sorting issue on their hands. They got creative and applied for an Eco-Audit Grant to purchase more recycling bins for their cafeteria and create waste sorting how-to signage and murals to help their classmates sort an estimated 2 million pounds of waste more accurately each school year.
