Educators equip the next generation with the knowledge and tools needed to achieve a flourishing, equitable, and sustainable future. EcoRise is excited to offer online teacher professional development courses to educators, of all subjects and grades, that equips them with knowledge, skills, and resources to confidently incorporate climate change and related topics into their existing curriculum. Courses are facilitated by instructional leaders with expertise in teaching climate change in schools. Together, we can ensure all students leave high school climate literate and prepared to create a better world.
The courses were originally developed by the K–12 instructional design team at Presidio Graduate School to address the questions and challenges around teaching climate change. In 2023, EcoRise was selected to receive the program through a highly competitive evaluation process and is excited to grow the teacher education courses with more instructional resources.
